5–6 Days Per Week
Structured daily programming that provides the intensity needed for early recovery without requiring overnight stays.
TREATMENT PROGRAMS
Intensive daily addiction treatment — structured, personal, and covered by most insurance.
A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is the most structured level of outpatient care we offer at Cherry Hill Recovery Center. PHP is designed for individuals who need intensive, daily clinical support but do not require 24-hour residential care. Patients attend treatment five to six days a week and return home each evening — making it an ideal option for those stepping down from inpatient rehab or who need more clinical structure than a standard Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) can provide.
A typical day in our PHP combines individual therapy, group counseling, psychiatric services, Medication Assisted Treatment, and skill-building workshops. Our team — led by board-certified psychiatrist our medical team — uses evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and dual-diagnosis treatment to address the underlying causes of substance use. For patients requiring withdrawal management, we coordinate seamlessly with our Medical Detox services.
What sets our PHP apart is the personal attention. We keep our groups intentionally small, build a custom treatment plan around your needs, and coordinate care with your family, employer, or referring provider when appropriate. Most major insurance plans cover PHP — we'll verify your insurance for you.
Comprehensive daily care designed around your recovery — not a one-size-fits-all program.
Structured daily programming that provides the intensity needed for early recovery without requiring overnight stays.
Daily sessions with licensed therapists using CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed approaches tailored to your history.
Our psychiatric team manages co-occurring mental health conditions alongside addiction treatment.
We treat addiction and underlying mental health disorders — anxiety, depression, PTSD — together, not separately.
We involve your support system with education sessions, family therapy options, and guidance for loved ones.
When you're ready, we transition you smoothly into our IOP program — continued care without starting over.
PHP is the right level of care if you need more support than weekly outpatient therapy provides but do not need 24-hour supervision. It is especially well-suited for individuals who are stepping down from inpatient or residential treatment, have tried standard outpatient treatment without lasting success, are dealing with co-occurring mental health conditions alongside addiction, need daily clinical support while still living at home, or want to maintain family and home responsibilities during treatment.

Most people searching for a partial hospitalization program in Cherry Hill are really asking one question: how much of my life do I have to put on hold? Here is the honest difference between the four levels of care, and where outpatient PHP fits.
Medically supervised withdrawal
Typically 3–7 days of round-the-clock monitoring while alcohol, opioids or benzodiazepines leave your system. Detox stabilizes the body — it is not treatment, and it does not address why the use started. We coordinate detox and then admit you straight into PHP.
Detox referral coordination24/7 living and treatment
You live at the facility for 28 days or longer. It is the right call when the home environment is unsafe or unstable. The trade-off is stepping away from family, work and housing — and most plans authorize a limited number of days.
Intensive daytime treatment, home each night
Five to six days a week, 5–8 hours a day of therapy, psychiatric care and medication management — then you sleep in your own bed. Close to the clinical intensity of residential care without leaving your life behind. This is the level of care we specialize in.
Step-down outpatient treatment
Three to four days a week, about three hours a day. Built for people holding a job or in school, and the natural next step after PHP. Evening IOP meets after work hours.
Evening IOP in New JerseyIf you are physically dependent, the path is usually detox first, then PHP, then IOP in Cherry Hill. If you are not in active withdrawal, PHP is often the right entry point. Either way, MAT with Suboxone or Vivitrol can be part of the plan, and we treat alcohol, opioid and stimulant use disorders in the same program. Want the day-to-day view first? Our PHP runs out of our Cherry Hill office at 1930 Marlton Pike East, just off Route 70 and minutes from I-295 and the NJ Turnpike. Because PHP means daily treatment and then going home, being close matters. Most of our patients drive 10–25 minutes each way from Camden County towns like Camden, Voorhees, Haddonfield, Collingswood and Pennsauken, or from Burlington County communities such as Marlton, Moorestown, Mount Laurel and Medford.
We also serve Gloucester County and the greater Philadelphia area — the Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross bridges put us roughly 20 minutes from Center City. For someone with a family at home, a lease, or a job to hold onto, outpatient PHP in South Jersey is often more practical than traveling out of state for residential care. Transportation assistance is available if getting here daily is the obstacle.
